เป็น อยู่ คือ... วิถีชาวอินโด ประชากร ส่วนใหญ่เป็นสายมาเลย์ประมาณร้อยละ 95 ที่เหลือเป็นอินโด อาหรับ จีน และชาวยุโรป แต่ถ้าแบ่งตามหลักฐานชาติวงศ์วิทยาแล้ว ถือว่ามีต้นกำเนิดมาจาก 365 เชื้อชาติ รวมกันเป็นกลุ่มใหญ่ได้ 4 กลุ่ม คือ เมเลเนเซียน (Melanesians) โปรโตออโตรเนเซียน (Proto – Autronesians) โพลีเนเซียน (Polynesians) และโมโครเนเซียน (Micronesians) ชาวอินโดนีเซียจะมีตาคม ผมดำ ผิวสีน้ำตาล กระดูกแก้มกว้าง ตาเล็ก จมูกใหญ่ มีความสูงประมาณ 5 – 6 ฟุต ใกล้เคียงกับความสูงของคนไทย
